My Ántonia, Willa Cather's celebrated novel, continues to inspire the work of artists around the world. Complete and Great showcases the work of a number of regional and national artists as they explore the themes and settings of the novel through their preferred media. The exhibit will be showing during the 63rd annual Willa Cather Spring Conference May 31-June 3. The theme for this year's conference is "Here at Last Is an American Novel": Celebrating 100 Years of My Ántonia.

A New Garden Ethic: Lecture by Landscape Designer Benjamin Vogt

The Cather Foundation welcomes author and landscape designer Benjamin Vogt of Monarch Gardens, LLC, to the Red Cloud Opera House on Friday, April 27, at 4:00 p.m. as part of the WCF’s Earth Week activities. This event is part of a series of events funded by Humanities Nebraska celebrating the centennial of the publication of My Ántonia in 2018.


Free Movie and Easter Egg Hunt

The Red Cloud Opera House is excited to present Wonder on Saturday, March 31st, at 11:00 a.m. The film follows August Pullman, a boy with Treacher Collins syndrome, as he tries to fit in to a mainstream elementary school for the first time. This movie party is complete with pizza and refreshments. A parent or another adult must accompany children to the movie.
