The Nebraska Rural Living Art Show is currently on display now through January 5. Utilizing a variety of media, five artists weave a tapestry of Nebraska Rural Living—one that hearkens back to the land and people that so inspired Willa Cather's work. Photography, oils, pastels, and sculpture are but a few of the elements that make up this inspiring exhibit. Featured artists are Beth Cole of Merna, Desiree Hajny of Blue Hill, Susan Hart of Cozad, Garald Horst of Arnold, and Sondra Jonson of Cambridge.

The Gallery hosted an artists' reception on November 10.

Hardened and Tempered: hard enough to hold an edge; soft enough not to break. Austin-based duo Kristin Davidson and Red Cloud-native Carolyn Phillips live that balance and express it in their music. Their songs take root in the story-telling traditions of folk and country and flourish with textured melodies and harmonies, revealing an intimate look at the human condition from a perspective that the listener may not have previously considered.
