Hear an excerpt from her book and learn more about how she drew from Omaha's early 20th century history to create this twisty tale. As always, viewers are encouraged to ask questions and make literary connections during this early spring event.

About Chris Harding Thornton

Chris Harding Thornton, a seventh-generation Nebraskan, holds an MFA from the University of Washington and a PhD from the University of Nebraska. Her first novel, Pickard County Atlas, was chosen by author Tana French as a PBS Masterpiece Best Mystery of 2021. The book was also featured in the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and elsewhere. Her second novel, Little Underworld, will be released March 12, 2024.
