Enjoy a moderated conversation with artist Littleton Alston, whose bronze sculpture of Willa Cather—a twin of Alston’s sculpture recently installed in the U.S. Capitol—will be installed on the Museum of the Shenandoah trails in October.

Alston is the first African American artist to create a work to be displayed in the National Statuary Hall Collection, and his three-dimensional creations are in public and private collections throughout the United States. Alston was selected from more than 70 artists who competed to design and create the sculpture of Willa Cather. The conversation will be moderated by MSV Deputy Director of Arts and Education Nancy Huth.

MSV members: $5; all others: $10. Register by October 10. Register online or call 540-662-1473, ext. 240.
