For decades, millions of Americans sipped their morning coffee and began their day reading three simple words, “Dear Ann Landers.” Eppie Lederer, better known as advice columnist Ann Landers, answered countless letters from lovelorn teens, confused couples, and a multitude of others in need of advice. But, many readers never knew that behind the advice columnist was a woman filled with class, charisma, and a whole lotta chutzpah!

The Nebraska Theatre Caravan will bring Ann Landers to life in a theatrical production entitled The Lady With All The Answers, showing at the Red Cloud Opera House on Friday, March 4, at 7:00 p.m. This off-Broadway tour-de-force provides a compelling portrait of the bubbly, frank, and slightly eccentric writer that became a fixture of our culture. Featuring a veritable treasure trove of her favorite letters, as well as hilarious behind-the-scenes showbiz stories and tales of personal triumph, this show is all about the no-nonsense Sioux City, IA, native whose daily dialogue with America helped shape the social landscape for the last half century. The folksy, funny, straightforward, and validating show is recommended for mature audiences only.

The talented Rebecca McGraw plays Ann Landers and the production is directed by Judith K. Hart. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rebecca moved to New York at age 20 to pursue her acting career. From New York, Rebecca moved to Normal, Illinois, to pursue her MFA in Acting from Illinois State University. She also spent two seasons performing with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Rebecca then spent several years teaching acting at Graceland University in Iowa and Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Upon retiring from teaching, Rebecca has resumed her acting career full time, and has appeared regionally with such companies as Cortland Repertory Theatre, Prather Entertainment, Blue Gate Musicals, and The Springer Opera House, State Theatre of Georgia.

Judith K Hart became a theatre professional in 1978 when she joined Actors Equity Association. Her professional life reflects the places she lives. In 1978, she was acting and sewing at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton NJ, acting and teaching at George Street Playhouse and managing the costume shop at Crossroads Theatre Company. Since moving to Lincoln Nebraska in 1989, her regional acting credits include productions in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Albany, Buffalo and Lincoln. In the early 90's, Judy founded the Angels Theatre Company. She directs for the Angels as well as the Lincoln and Omaha Community Playhouses.
