Cather Book Club: His Family

On October 20, the Willa Cather Book Club will meet to discuss His Family by Ernest Poole. This work received the first Pulitzer Prize awarded for the Novel in 1918. Willa Cather’s My Ántonia was considered a front runner, but did not receive the prize. Poole’s novel is the story of middle-class New Yorker, Roger Gale, and changing American society in the 1910s. There are two meeting times available; 4:00 p.m. at Cherry Corner Estates and 6:30 p.m. at the Cather Second Home.
