Blue Plate Special is a unique band—for music fans with a hearty appetite. Their songs, whether covers or originals, give the audience a feeling for American Roots music, music that sounds our history of American memories. The four-piece piece band includes a distinctive sound including guitars, bass, percussion, horns, keyboard, and their remarkable vocal harmonies. The band presents a variety of music genres and styles: pop, classic rock, country, blues, jazz. The song list is eclectic, including songs from 1940s to the 21st Century.

About the band:

Craig Link—percussion, vocals

As national band Timberline’s drummer, played with Kenny G., Dolly Parton, Ozark Mtn. Daredevils, Pure Prairie League, Amazing Rhythm Aces, Outlaws, Peter Yarrow, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Mick Johnson—guitars, vocals

Played with Fear of Flying, Get Off My Lawn, Off the Grid. Piano technician at University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Music department. Piano tuner for Hastings College, Wesleyan University, various churches and schools.

Terry Sinnard—bass, vocals

Played in 2007-08 and 2015 “Prayers for the People” (former NAC Touring Program); PILGRIM Classic Country (former NAC Touring Program), Blackberry Winter, and pop, rock, and blues bands — Corporation Blues Band, High Voltage, The Fabulous Suns, John Mills Band.

Greg Tesdall—Horns, Keyboard, Vocals

Played with BJ Thomas tour back up band, Black Oak Arkansas, Charlie Daniels, Kenny G, Lamont Cranston Band . Arranged and recorded as guest/member on multiple CDs. Live radio and TV performances.  Member of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
