Auditions for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Rapunzel

Missoula Children's Theatre will take place August 1-5. Auditions for Rapunzel will be Monday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m. and rehearsals throughout the week will be at 10:00 a.m. Rehearsals will be 4 and half hours; students will need to bring sack lunches to rehearsals. This year both performances will be on Friday, August 5, at 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. There will not be a Saturday performance.
Auditions will take approximately 2 hours followed immediately by a two hour rehearsal. Students do not have to bring any prepared materials. The auditions are set up to run like a series of theater games and are a fun and relaxed. To be eligible for this production the student must be entering grades 1st through 12th.
There are 50 parts available including: Rapunzel, Modame Gothel, Prince, Maurice, Monique, Wood Elves, Unicorns, Pixies, Gremlins, the Billy Goats Gruff, a troll, the Three Bears, ogres, and many more.
This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by the Willa Cather Foundation. For more information, call (402) 746-2641.
DIRECTORS
Monica Domena — Monica is excited to tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre! She is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in theatre performance. She spent the last year touring the country with Teatro Milagro, performing bilingual shows for all ages. Some of her favorite show credits include “Ariel” in The Tempest; “Payaso” in Sueños de Fùtbol; and “Caroline Bingley” in Pride and Prejudice. She is very grateful to her mother for supporting her in her endeavors.
Seth W. Hollen — Seth is thrilled to be touring with the Missoula Children’s Theatre! He is a recent graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in musical theatre. His favorite show credits include “Phantom” in Phantom of the Opera; “Warner” in Legally Blonde; and “Mr. Banks” in Mary Poppins. He would like to thank his family and friends for their never-ending love and support.
