Association of Nebraska Art Clubs Award of Excellence Traveling Show

The Red Cloud Opera House and the Red Cloud Area Artists Club will once again be hosting the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs Award of Excellence traveling show, February 28 to March 27, 2024. 

281 individual pieces were submitted from across the state of Nebraska to the annual ANAC conference. Fifty pieces received recognition from this year's judge, watercolorist Leslie Lambert. Duane Pieper, with his photo encaustic, entitled "Holy Cow," was awarded Best of Show in the most recent competition. The traveling show will feature oil and acrylic paintings, encaustic, assemblage, mixed media, watercolor, pastels, batik, charcoal, photography, colored pencil, and fabric mosaic works, representing the best of Nebraska's thirty-five art clubs that submit work to the contest.

This exhibit will be located in the Red Cloud Opera House Auditorium but is free and open to the public, during our normal business hours.

Our Opera House arts programming is supported by a basic support grant from Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
