WILLA CATHER AND MATERIAL CULTURE EXHIBIT: In the spring of 2007, Betty Kort's photographs of select objects important in the life and work of Willa Cather were exhibited at the Willa Cather Spring Conference in Red Cloud. MOON BLOCK UPDATE: On September 7, 2007, the United States Senate passed the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Appropriations bill by a vote of 88-7. This bill includes a commitment of $1,000,000 for the Moon Block Project in Red Cloud. The bill was supported by Nebraska Senators Chuck Hagel and Ben Nelson.
