Inside:
"We decided to have a country Christmas... Grandmother hunted up her fancy cake-cutters and baked gingerbread men and roosters, which we decorated with burnt sugar and red cinammon drops." --My Ántonia

In My Ántonia Jake brings home a Christmas Tree. The W. T. Benda illustration from the original text of My Ántonia appears on the front of this beautifully designed Christmas Card. Inside the text related to the illustration appears on the left side. The right side sends a greeting. This limited edition card with envelope is the first in the series and is available in packages of 10 for $7.00.

Inside on Left:

"I put on my cap and ran out to meet Jake. When I got to the pond, I could see that he was bringing in a little cedar tree across his pommel. . . . The cedar was about five feet high and very shapely. We hung it with the gingerbread animals, strings of popcorn, and bits of candle . . . It’s real splendours, however, came from the most unlikely place in the world-from Otto’s cowboy trunk. . . . There was the bleeding heart, in tufts of paper lace; there were the three kings, gorgeously apparelled, and the ox and the ass and the shepherds; there was the Baby in the manger, and a group of angels, singing; there were camels and leopards, held by the black slaves of the three kings. Our tree became the talking tree of the fairy tale; legends and stories nestled like birds in its branches. Grandmother said it reminded her of the Tree of Knowledge."
-My Ántonia

Inside on right:
May legends and stories
bring Joy
to your home during
the Holiday Season

The second collectible Christmas Card celebrates the Grand Re-Opening of the Red Cloud Opera House in 2003. Pictured on the front of the card is an illustration by Ken Stewart of the restored Opera House. A "Season’s Greetings" banner with red lettering hangs across the front of the building. The inside is blank so that you can deliver your own personal message.

  • These cards can be purchased with the "Season’s Greetings" banner in a package of 10 for $18.00.
  • The card may also be purchased without the "Season’s Greetings" banner in a package of 6 for $10.00.

These Willa Cather cards commemorate the beautiful reproduction book, December Night, a slim edition of a section from Willa Cather’s Death Comes to the Archbishop. Third in the series, they are available in packages of 10 for $12.

Inside:
